State Talent Elite Pathway (STEP) Program

• Term 3 Classes Begin:           Wednesday 12 July 2017
• Term 3 Classes Conclude:     Saturday 23 Sept 2017

This program is considered the first step to the Diving Victoria High Performance Program.  Enrollment is by invitation only, and usually happens after a Diving Victoria Open Assessment day. The program is offered 11 hours a week (Monday, Wednesday & Friday 4:00-6:00 pm, Tuesday 6-8am and Saturday 8-11am).  In the first term of enrollment divers are expected to attend a minimum of 3 sessions per week.

Special Notes

• Registration is On-line only
• Registration may be made for 1 diver at a time ONLY
• Registration is for the whole of the term
• Divers must become members of Diving Victoria as a "STEP Level Diver" $30  or a STEP Diver Pennant 3+ $195.  This is one time annual fee - under MEMBERSHIP
• Earlybird pricing for those that register and pay by 12th July

 

All classes

• All classes meet in the MSAC 2nd level spectator seating area at the diving end of the indoor pool
• Bring bathers, warm-up clothes (T-shirt and shorts), runners, towel and drink bottle
• Parents are encouraged to leave their children. If not, they must stay well clear of all class activities and coaches while they are working with the children. Parents must stay in the spectator seating and are not allowed on the pool deck at any time

Important Notes

Entry into MSAC (subject to change due to MSAC policies) – Prices for divers Under 16

A student entering MSAC for their dive lesson is required to pay diving single entry of $5.60. A 10 visit pass may be purchased for $48.00, or a 20 visit pass for $96.00.  A parent accompanying a child or staying to watch the lesson is temporarily no charge.  Parking at MSAC is $3 per hour. These fees are not included in the prices listed on the other side and are paid to MSAC reception upon entry.

Pennant Week #1 (Saturday 5 August 2017 @ MSAC)

Pennant Week #2 (Sunday 10 September 2017 @ Aquanation)

Pennant is a competition series suited to all levels of divers and aims to provide them with competition experience and the opportunity to monitor their progress throughout the season, which runs from July-June.  There are six pennants held over this time period and these are the first two for the season 2017/18. 

Each pennant consists of levels 1-10 plus open competition, and each level has different requirements.  Students will need to check with their coach for the appropriate level to enter and the dives they will need to perform.  Entries will close on the Sunday prior to the competition.
