2021 Lil Rippers Holiday Diving Program - January

5, 6, 7, 11, 13, 15, 18, 19, 21, 25 & 27 January - 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

The Lil Rippers Holiday Diving Program at MSAC in Albert Park, will run select weekdays throughout the January school holidays. This developmental program is geared toward beginner and intermediate divers ages 8-15 (6-7 year olds with special permission only).  There is no previous diving experience necessary.  Children must be confident in deep water as the coaches do not get in with them.  This is a rare chance for divers to have access to the 3 metre boards and platforms. 

Due to COVID restrictions and facility usage changes, there will only be one offering per day from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm.  Divers will start in our dryland area on the second level of the indoor competition pool (in the spectator seating area).  Coaches will lead the divers in warm-up & conditioning exercises plus trampoline and dryboard work. They will take a short break for a snack.  They will then proceed to the water. 

Example daily schedule:

9:30 - 9:35	Arrive and check-in
9:35 - 9:40	Introductions and rules
9:40-10:45	Dryland (for example: warm-up exercises, conditioning exercises, stretching, diving related drills and core work, trampoline and dryboard work, games and obstacles)
10:45-11:00	Break and small snack (snack not provided)
11:00-12:30	Water activities in the dive pool (side, boom, springboards, platforms)
12:30-12:40	Pick-up

Divers may pick and chose any number and combination of days that suit your schedule.

Registration

• "Logging in" is not required
• If you are signing up more than one diver with this registration, please include their details (Name, Date of Birth and Days attending)
• Daily enrolment will close at 9pm 1 WEEK PRIOR to the session or earlier if maximum attendance has been reached.  If you would like to join a session that has EXPIRED, text Whitney Michael on 0411863483 for availability
• Sessions must have 10 participants to go forward.  If a session must be cancelled, divers will be informed at least 5 days prior.
• 10% EARLYBIRD discount for all registrations made and paid for by 23 DECEMBER - use discount code "EarlyDiving" when paying
• An additional 5% discount for 6 or more sessions in 1 booking.  To receive this discount please place booking but do not pay.  Email whitney@divingvictoria.com.au.  Discount will be applied, and a new invoice will be sent.
• If a session is "FULL" and you would like to be contacted if space arrises, email whitney@divingvictoria.com.au
• If your son/daughter is 6 or 7 years old and has never done diving, please email whitney@divingvictoria.com.au.  If there is enough interest a session may be opened. **UPDATE** 3 sessions have been added for 6 and 7 year olds: 18, 19, 25 Jan 11-12:30
• If your child is 6 or 7 and has done Dive School, please contact Whitney for permission.  If your child is 6 or 7 and is invloved with gymnastics 5 or more hours a week, please contact Whitney to discuss options.

What to bring

Cost

• $60 Now INCLUDES Pool Entry / $47 for 11-12:30 aged 6/7 sessions
• Earlybird Discount for all registration before 23 December (Discount code "EarlyDiving")
• Additional discount for 6 or more sessions in one booking

Upon Arrival

• All divers/families must enter MSAC via the front main entrance - near the fountain and cafe
• All patrons must scan a QR code for the facility (tracking) and enter "Diving" as the area visited.  If you are dropping your child off and they do not have a smartphone, you must come and scan them in first
• The multi-deck carpark is currently being used as a COVID-19 testing site.  There are 30 min spots in front of the building, or longer parking available through the boom-gate, near the basketball courts.  It is first hour free parking
• Masks are currently required inside the building for anyone 12 or older. They may be removed once exercise has started
• Parents WILL be able to enter the facility and sit in the spectator seating area during the session, but you are not required to do so.  Parents will not be allowed on pool deck
• Once you have scanned to enter the facility, there is an up- staircase directly behind the main desk.  This goes to the spectator seating area of the main competiton pool.  Go up the stairs and then walk towards the diving end of the pool.  We will meet in our dryland area
